About Hebrew Free Loan of New Jersey
Hebrew Free Loan of New Jersey traces its origins back to the late 1800s, when the original Hebrew Free Loan Association was founded in Newark to aid the burgeoning migration of Jews from Eastern Europe. Today, Hebrew Free Loan of New Jersey serves Jews in Essex, Morris, Monmouth, Middlesex, Sussex, and Union counties.
The mission remains unchanged: helping Jews in need to become self-sufficient by providing interest-free loans.
Since 2008, Hebrew Free Loan of New Jersey has given loans to more than 300 people in our community in the total amount of $1.4 million.
Hebrew Free Loan of NJ is a beneficiary of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ and a partner of the Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey (serving Monmouth and Greater Middlesex Counties).
